The
Maryland Recyclers Coalition (MRC) has been recognized
for outstanding achievement by the Maryland Society of
Association Executives (MSAE). MRC’s electronic
newsletter, The Voice, received a certificate in the
Communications-Newsletter category of MSAE’s 2004 Circle
of Excellence Awards program.
“MSAE’s Circle of Excellence Awards recognize
Maryland-based associations for exemplary work done on
behalf of their members or the community," says MSAE
President Nancy Nickles Dawson. "The Voice sets a
standard for which other |
associations
should strive and can certainly be counted among Maryland’s
finest.”
This new
electronic newsletter of the Maryland Recycler’s Coalition was
launched in February 2004 to replace a bi-annual print
newsletter. The electronic version of The Voice has been well
received by members and has been published three times in 2004
with winter, spring and fall issues.
The electronic
newsletter publication turn around time is much faster than the
print version and there has been a large cost savings in
publishing and distribution since the format changed to an
electronic one. All members receive an email with the HTML
version of the newsletter and it is archived on the MRC web
site,
www.marylandrecyclers.org.
“MRC is
honored to receive the Circle of Excellence award, which
highlights associations for the execution and impact of their
programs, “ says Jackie King, Executive Director. “The award
further validates our efforts to communicate with our members in
a timely and more cost-effective fashion.”
MRC was
honored at a special luncheon Wednesday, December 15 in
Baltimore, Md.
