"Wood" You Like to Join Us for the MRC Conference Tour?
Don’t miss out on this year’s
exciting conference tour. On Friday, May 28, we will be touring
Edrich Farms Nursery, Inc. in Windsor Mill, Maryland.
Edrich Farms Nursery, Inc. has
been supplying landscapers and contractors, (both locally and
nationally), businesses, municipalities, nurseries, and garden
centers nationwide with quality plant material. Their trees and
shrubs can be found from Disney World in Orlando, to the
Chrysler Plant in Pontiac, Michigan, to Old Town, Philadelphia.
The tour will walk you through a
wood waste recycling center, one of the largest in the state of
Maryland, and demonstrate how wood debris is recycled into mulch
and returned to the earth by local landscapers. They also have a
furniture manufacturing operation that uses recycled wood.
The tour lasts about 1 hour and 15
minutes. There is no extra charge for this tour, and
transportation will be provided by MRC. The tour is limited to
the first 40 registrants.
(Please note: The Weyerhauser
Tour has been cancelled. The Edrich Farms Nursery Tour will
replace it.)
