Job Announcement: Summer Internship in Solid Waste Management Consulting

GBB is again offering a full-time summer intern position. The internship is a paid position. Wages are to be determined upon candidate selection. The scope of the position includes both providing administrative support and performing solid waste management and recycling research for various projects at GBB. This will give a college student the opportunity to get acquainted with the solid waste management industry, further knowledge in the environmental field, and work with senior consultants who are industry leaders.

As solid waste management consultants, GBB assists clients with collection, recycling, processing, waste to energy, and landfill needs, etc. GBB may do a strategic review of their systems, prepare a solid waste management or recycling plan or feasibility study, or assist in procurement of facilities and/or services by preparing a Request for Proposals and reviewing proposals, preparing evaluation reports, assisting in contract negotiations, etc. The intern will assist project managers with this work. The intern may assist with internet research, PowerPoint presentations, database support using Excel, report preparation using Microsoft Word, and other administrative tasks. GBB has a staff of friendly, knowledgeable people who will guide and direct the intern every step of the way. It’s our goal to make this a pleasant, rewarding experience.

Job Announcement: Chesapeake Bay Funders Network (CBFN) Program Officer

The Chesapeake Bay Trust on behalf of the Chesapeake Bay Funders Network seeks a qualified candidate to serve as the CBFN Program Officer to coordinate and implement efforts to increase collaborative funding initiatives that protect and restore the Chesapeake Bay. The CBFN Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of CBFN activities and initiatives including foundation relations, grant management, initiative coordination, communications and some event planning.

Position Salary and Benefits: Anticipated salary range $35K-$50K with an excellent benefits package
